The site is getting slammed presently due to the Portal piece generating more traffic than my server has connections to serve. I’ve looked into upgrading the account, but it’s not a bandwidth thing, it’s a connections issue. Game-ism is pretty much suffering from a live unintentional DoS attack.
I doubt it’s going to improve much if it’s crippled on a Sunday night. I’m fearing the coming Monday and any upsurges of traffic that will bring…

You should tell as many people as possible to read you through your RSS feed, at least for the time being. That should relieve some of the pressure.
