FINALLY nailed that damn song today and got the achievement for Expert Guitar. My Achievement. Let me show you it. It’s pretty. Sooooo pretty.

Y’know, I’m not a tattoo person, but I’d consider that one if I were of that persuasion. Maybe a small one on the shoulder or something.
Even better still, and I know I’m like 20 days behind on this one, but I was happy to find out that Rock Band does award “6″ stars. It’s one of the things I like about Rock Band, that it actually tracks your progress through a song. It seems feasible to only get one or two stars (although I think it’s actually impossible to finish a song with only one or two without failing), but at least they don’t just give out three by default just for finishing the song; they show you how you wound up with three stars.
At any rate, I’ve been sitting at 5 stars long before the end of a song, and never bothered to use my star power (what’s the point, I was at 5 stars), and thought “hey, why don’t they just keep tracking your stars here and see if you can actually get a 6th star?”
Well, as it turns out, they do, by tracking it as 5 gold stars. You can get 5 gold stars on almost any song if you beat it on Expert and get 1.5x the points needed to achieve 5 stars before the end of the song comes up. I was pleasantly surprised to find one pop up while I was attempting to beat a buddy’s solo career score on guitar after beating the game today, while on my new quest to get a 100% on one song on Expert.
