Rock Band Solo Expert Guitar Tour Update.

Step 1: Practice “Green Grass and High Tides” for over an hour.

Step 2: Really concentrate extra hard on the Solo 2 sections that always flub you up. Namely the “back and forth” sections around 2H and 2J or so.

Step 3: Start playing the damn song in Solo Tour. Expectations are low.

Step 4: 8 minutes later, feel the elation which you denied (even as you aced 2H and 2J) creep up as you enter the very final and long triplet 16th notes section of 2M with some overdrive burning and a full band meter. You’re good at this hammer on section. You can even play it with two hands and no strum bar Eddie Van Halen style.

Step 5: 10 seconds later, feel your stomach drop out as you somehow epic fail that section and watch as you miss the two sections that would continue the overdrive, and fail the song at 97% complete.

Step 6: Punch basement furniture so hard in anger and frustration your wife hears you two floors up and runs downstairs because she thinks you’re beating the life out of a burglar. At least you had enough foresight not to smash the guitar.

There goes my evening.
